Off Topic: I don't know if you're serious or not Redd but I get the feeling that BMore would go through another type of boom period if it marketed itself as Coastal South Big City Mecca. (not deep south, redneck, country, etc).
I'm thinking more like "What would you get if you mixed Charleston, Richmond, New Orleans, and Savannah together???, Baltimore!" I've actually read things on that part of BMore's history and they could really really pull it off if they chose to. They can get create their own lane by doing creole, lowcountry, whatever they do in Richmond, and keep its ID in the forefront.
Back On Topic: Man, this is tough, I can't decide.

I can't speak for Charlotte or Dallas, but I know for a fact that the bolded portion above is completely inaccurate for Atlanta in the city proper and more descriptive of the suburban areas outside. To which I would say, "So what?" most suburbs are unwalkable.

Baltimore doesn't market itself as a southern city at all. People in Baltimore don't consider themselves southern. Personally, I don't think the south starts until fredericksburg, va, but most people on this site go strictly by the mason Dixon line. That's why I play both sides of the fence when discussing Baltimore: it looks like philly, but its a few miles below the M-D line.
