We all know the big ones in tourism. New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami etc. But what cities in the United States (and hell, let's throw Canada in here too) have the LEAST amount of tourism and visitors. Let's keep our list cities with 1 million+ in their metro, because it would be too easy to say Hardy, Arkansas or something like that... ?

I'd imagine the ones with the least amount of hotels. I'd google it if I had the time or bothered to care enough.

I did a 14 hours road trip one time from Denver to St. Louis. Never again could I go that amount of distance in a single day but really I just didn't want to spend the night in Kansas. I just wanted to get through it a quickly as possible. Fortunately it's a good place to drive really fast.

I'm guessing there aren't an abundance of tourists in Providence, Hartford, Birmingham, or Rochester. And in Canada, Edmonton.

Its not a horrible place. I have spent a bit of time in Garden City and Dodge City. Very nice locals and Garden City is surprisingly very diverse.

for Metro areas above 1 million, Detroit punches well below it's weight coming in at 112th most popular location. I couldn't find any >1 mil metro that ranked lower on this travel site....
