A draw but I prefer my city just because Pittsburgh winters actually involve snow more than two times the entire season.

Pittsburgh is significantly colder and snowier. Could be good or bad depending on what you like.

I prefer Pittsburgh. I like snow, summer rain and overall it's just more diverse and less depressing and monotonous than Seattle.

How is Seattle more depressing?

Clear days:
Pittsburgh 12
Seattle: 33

Cloudy days
Pittsburgh: 86
Seattle: 60

Partly cloudy days:
Pittsburgh: 97
Seattle: 102

Days with precipitation:
Pittsburgh: 100
Seattle: 68

If anything Pittsburgh is more depressing if you are talking about weather...If you are talking about the "other depression" Seattle isn't even close to the most depressed city..Pittsburgh on the other hand is ranked 2nd in unhappiest cities in America list and has a higher suiced rate than Seattle..

Most of the year PacNW weather is better, but then you get three months of winter darkness and rain just about every day (sometimes for days on end) and it gets old fast. I lived in Portland, not Seattle. Also lived in Pittsburgh.

The way I see it Pittsburgh has 4 uncomfortable months and Seattle has 3 (as I don't mind the rain the rest of the year).

I think there really is something to the changing seasons to help you stay in proper mental health.

That said I much prefer the weather here to being up north. A little warmer to hot summers for the trade off of a comfortable spring and milder (almost snow free) winter. Wonder why more people don't live in the south for the weather?

Neither, but I'd prefer Seattle's.
