Not trying to be mean, but 2 days is all you need in Memphis. I'm sorry...What is there really other than Beale Street and the riverfront as someone else said?
See that's the Exact Ignorance I'm taking about. Beale Street, Riverfront, Pyramid, South Main Downtown, Overton Square (Midtown) Overton Park (midtown) Broad Avenue (Midtown) similar to Edgewood in Atlanta, Shelby Farms, Graceland, Southaven, Casinos at Tunica National Civil rights Mueseum Blues Hall of Fame, Memphis Music Hall of Fame just to name a few

How is having one of the largest urban parks in the U.S embarrasing, excuse your ignorance and blind hatred of the place for a sec and be factual and objective and explain that

Beale Street and the Riverfront is all there is for the common tourist who lacks any sort of imagination. No shade.
LOL, I know, right? Sadly, that's the same type of attitude that keeps Memphis feeling and looking so stagnant and behind the times: the people who live there not expecting anything more than what it already has and is, yet getting mad and overly defensive and pretending like Memphis is so competitive with other cities that are clearly leagues ahead of it.
Between Memphis and Atlanta, Atlanta wins by so much it's not even funny.

But what good is having one of the largest urban parks in the U.S. if it doesn't really have much in it?
By that logic all there is to do in Atlanta is Coca Cola factory a Aquarium and a ferris wheel
Atlanta is much larger than Memphis. You can spend a day at Stone Mountain Park alone. Aquarium and Coke Museum would be another day. Buckhead another. MLK Historic District(his birth home) and the eastside neighborhoods like Little Five Points or Ponce City Market would be another. You can easily do a 5 day itinerary in Atlanta and almost all of these are accessible via MARTA rail. Hell, if you're really that type of person, you can do the Movie tours and see where tv shows like the Walking Dead are filmed or see the Swan House which was featured in the Hunger games Catching fire.
Just saying...there's a lot more to do in Atlanta than in Memphis.
