People in Charlottesville are younger and less likely to be married.

Charlottesville is a city with 45,000 people, average age 30, 29% married.

Annapolis is 35,000 people, average age 35.7, 42% married.

3,345 people walk to work in Charlottesville (109th most nationally). That's 16.5% of people in Charlottesville. Maybe these are people who walk to work at UVA. 6.9% of people in Annapolis walk to work.

Both good towns. I'd rate them about equal. It all comes down to what you like better: water or mountains.
