The longer you stay inside to worse you probably will feel. If you get out, go to the mountains, get out on the water, walk on the beach, and appreciate the vibrant year around beauty I don't think you will get depressed. For me I couldn't handle 360 days of sunshine, I can barely function in heat. That's just my opinion.
But a 'summer' of only 2-months of sun is not saying much at all!

Seattle's skyline and Mt. Rainer are breath taking, but I don't think I could stand everything being gloomy and 'WET' for 10 months of the year!

I can't stand heat either, but San Diego's 2 months of high temps, and the rest of the year mild temps, sound much more tolerable to me,than just 2 months of sun... and 'DRY' park benches/sidewalks/grass!

Pleasantly surprised that Seattle is winning the poll so far.

I personally like all three cities. San Diego is just a bit too suburban for me but you can't beat the climate and the beaches.
