you say that as if st. louis can't say the same thing. just because forbes left us off their arbitrary list doesn't mean there isn't a huge urban renaissance taking place in st. louis as well. in fact, i think every single major american city can claim to be undergoing an urban resurgence.

and that is what i disagree with, and it's entirely subjective so there is no way to prove or disprove anyone's opinion on this topic.

That's great for Cincy and I'm glad that's happening but don't use your successes to put St. Louis down, which has also been in the midst of an urban renaissance for about a decade. Our downtown has also been posting solid population growth and is getting better by the day. The resurgence of both of these cities is not mutually exclusive.

yes it is. and there is no number or list of projects or forbes rankings that will change that because urban revitalization is a relative metric and each city has its own set of dynamics.

The only legitimate put-down that St. Louis can throw at Cincy is that our public transportation is better (which is true). Trust me, if Cincy had a metro system like St. Louis's you'd be proud of it too.

Just admit it and leave it alone cincinnati was in the top 10 for emerging downtowns while st. Louis wasnt heck our downtown growth was 62%.

according to forbes. fail. what's that 62% number for anyway? workforce population? investment? revenues? residential population? not denying it, just wondering what it actually means.
