I was wondering if there is a general consensus on the most sought out city on the west coast. Specifically, I'd like to know which one is best in terms of amenities/accommodations, vibrant neighborhoods/downtown, and the overall vibe.

Side note: This poll was previously deleted because it was too "vague," therefore I had to clarify some things.

Although I am a Seattle person, I voted Los Angeles. It has everything.

I loved living in San Diego the most and when I see pics of it really miss my lifestyle there. Bay Area is great as well but if it wasn't for my job, family, and friends I wouldn't live here. I'd prefer to live here over anywhere else on the West Coast though except SD. I've been intrigued by LA at times too. Out of the 3 NW cities I'd take Vancouver and possibly Seattle, Portland doesn't seem to offer enough to make up for the weather.

LA, SF, Seattle and Portland are all very livable to me.

Las Vegas is close enough to be considered West Coast too imo.

San Diego is quite lovely too.

No real losers in this thread.

Like I said I haven't been to Vancouver or Portland so I'll refrain from ranking them.

Amenities/Accomodations:

1) Los Angeles
2) San Francisco
3) Seattle
4) San Diego

Vibrant neighborhoods/downtown:

1) San Francisco
2) Seattle
3) Los Angeles
4) San Diego

Overall Vibe:

Up to personal preference

Personally, my favorite city on the West Coast is Oakland which does very well on the vibrant neighborhoods metric and never left me feeling as though there was nothing to do.

I'm still going with Vancouver. It is easily the most "livable" city on this list.
