I give it a 7.5/10. From what I know, it is very dense, decent shopping, a lot of bars, sporting venues and good street plan. I wouldn't mind living there.
Baltimore, has lots of retail, very vibrant, lots of great seafood downtown, very nice downtown Baltimore has! i give Baltimore a 8, the other poster i think indy deserves a 7

Cincinnati?
Can we post if we've never been, what our overall impressions are? Thread slowed down so 'll post..
It offers more higher end ammenities than I expected. Looks like its been neglected for sometime and fairly recently has had more investment and TLC. Over the Rhine has its charm in architecture. One big hang up I have is it appears to be choked by surrounding freeways.

Delightful place. I'd give it 8/10.
How about Rochester, NY?
I love DT Los Angeles. Beautiful architecturally. Big, active and improving by the minute. Growing restaurant and nightlife scene. Suprisingly great public transportation hub. Impressive dt residential growth. Lots of big projects, particularly residential u/c.. Lots of refurbishing of the old.. Still gritty, but over the past few years one of America's most improved.
Next: dt Seattle
Downtown Los Angeles is nice once you are west of Broadway to the Financial District. Spring and Main Streets are mediocre (strictly for hipsters) and east of Main Street are mainly old warehouses and Skid Row, although the Fashion District south of 7th Street between Los Angeles and San Pedro Streets is decent.
Rochester: 5/10 hate how its surrounded by a freeway but it seems pretty dense.
San Diego: 9/10 very alive, perfect size, dense
Omaha?
