^^^ ugh Philly loses jobs going from MSA to CSA

Does anyone have longer term trends, say year on year from like 2007 to the present?

It would seem that the large TX cities are likely the only ones that had consistency throughout that period (maybe DC but think it might actually be slowing now and is the most anomalous based on Govt expansion druing the recession.

Atlanta I believe slowed and has not re established pre recession growth (not sure about place like Charlotte and RDU and Miami in the south)

Boston I think did pretty well throughout and NYC is rebounding (as is much of the midwest).

In CA, LA and the Bay are adding jobs at a very good clip, they were also some of the hardest hit during the recession and lost more than many places then I believe.

My home town continues with below norm growth, it also had lessor decline during the recission, even said this region needs ot pick up the job growth rates...

Anyway just some thoughts as the single year numbers are good but not all telling. Still am happy to see decent growth in many locations. Good for the country, wish better for my city. And also TX is really the one shining star in total if looking at pre, during, and post recession.

Thanks for the 2012-2013 numbers.

Here are the 2011-2012 numbers (last year) and if you notice, the places that slowed down in job creation from 2011-2012 to 2012-2013 are also the places that slowed down in population growth according to the US census' estimates. There's the common denominator right there, high population growth is more or less correlated to high job growth, I suppose.
