Silly. And absolutely ignorant.Funny how you failed to mention famously bad Seattle weathers, higher depression rates and extremely high cost of living.

San Diego has sprawl like Atlanta, forest fires, extreme traffic congestion and high cost to live anywhere nice is very expensive for most folks.Even its downtown is nothing special.

Funny how also Atlanta has the fastest growing city center out of the three.Something must be right about it.
Atlanta is the highest elevated major city after Denver. It sits in the foothills of the Appalacians. I go to the mountains regularly. They are closer than those in Seattle. Most people dont climb mountains because they are the highest.

How many black people do you think would rather go to Atlanta than Seattle? What cultural or interest is there for black people?Im black and I travel alot. However I would only pick San Diego over Atlanta because everybody likes the beach.
People may get mad because I said it,but how many black people do you ever see on a ski slope or climbing a mountain?lol
I'm Black and I enjoy climbing mountains/hiking. People of different races don't have such restricted interests. This is like saying that White people never go to the beach because they may get sunburned. Sorry, I just find your post silly and uninformed. The only reason people are moving to Atlanta is because it's cheap. Other than that, what does it really offer, besides foolish rap culture?

I'm also Black and I have visited Denver to see family but I really enjoyed going into the mountains just for sight seeing and the Casinos up there.

I would also like to visit Seattle but not really for it's Mountains (got enough of that in Denver and I'm no skier or serious hiker) but I would love to just check out it's downtown and urban environments and food for a couple of days.

However, all that being said. You are absolutely crazy if you think people only come to Atlanta because it's cheap and has rap culture (what?!) I mostly would like to see Seattle because it's different but after getting tired of the water and mountains (which wouldn't take me long at all) Atlanta has far far more to offer. That's why I chose Seattle as a place to visit but would much rather live here in Atlanta.

I'm not sure what your definition of "extreme traffic" is but its kind of a ridiculous thing to point out when your comparing SD to Atlanta of all places.

Natural disasters is also pretty ridiculous to bring up too as that clearly isn't something 99.99% of tourists will deal with when visiting. Plus forest fires don't exactly occur where most tourists frequent. Wasn't Dowtown Atlanta struck by a tornado during a Hawks game? I wonder how many visitors had their plans affected by that.

Not sure what the high cost of living has to do with a vacation either. People stay in hotels not buy houses when visiting.

While Downtown SD may not be the best, it certainly isn't bad though, it's actually probably better for tourists than residents. That's actually a common complaint about it by residents, it's too touristy.

So I suppose Civil Rights has nothig to do with you?I suppose the largest concentration of HBCU's dont interest you or other blacks?Obviously its you who are inogrant as to why Atlanta would be of more interest to blacks than Seattle.
How big is the black population in Seattle?Just like if you are Japanese or Asian Seattle would be more appealing. What dont you get?Stop posturing.

So anwer my question:How many blacks do you think would enjoy Atlanta vs Seattle? Are you saying when you go Mountain climbing you see many other blacks?
Funny whenever I mention Salt Lake City,my blck friends look perplexed.

I don't listen or like too much rap either, but I do enjoy Common ,Kanye West and a few more conscious rappers. Its you who sound uniformed.
So for you to criticize me for making a statement that has merit ,you deride people aho like something you do not.

And I too like Seattle but not for my vacation.Mountains are Mountains to me.Im not climbing one so its irrelevant if its higher than another one.The Applacians are fine for me.The waterfalls.

I used to live in Denver also.so mountains are just not y thing anymore either. Dont care much for Seafood so that holds no special place for me either

But I wasn't talking about HBCUs. I was saying that your post of "mountain climbing and skiing not appealing to Blacks" was absurd, which it is. And no, the HBCUs don't interest me because the student body is not diverse. And to compare Seattle to Salt Lake City is, as someone said in another thread, like comparing chicken to South America. Two completely different cities. Seattle is, for the most part, accepting and doesn't care if you're Black, White, Asian, whatever. Utah, with its huge Mormon population, is rather prejudiced, in the sense that people of color are considered cursed by
G-d. So yes, I stand by my original comment-your statement doesn't make sense.

Well I'm also pretty sure that majority of Asians don't climb mountains or ski them. Or majority of Whites. Or majority of Native Americans.

I really dont care what you like.I just mo you have avoided answering my question because you know the answer.black people bote emocratic more than 90% but you act like Im so bad for stating something that is just obvious because YOU shoose o do other things differently.

All my life I had black people say you are
'too white" and white people telling me I don't act like a black should. So Im aware that not everybody in a certain group does exactly the same thing.

I bet if I had said black people don't like NASCAR I would not have heard a peep out of you.
