Not from the Seattle perspective. You can take a ferry (from Bellingham), a cruise ship, or a plane from here.

You're joking by not including it as an option, yeah? I hate the state and I can objectively state it has far and away the best mountains.

I live in Colorado and have been in the sierras about a half dozen times... I am going to say the Sierras blow away Rockies... hiking in sierras makes hiking in the Rockies seem boring.

This is easy...Alaska. It's the only state with Big Boy mountains that compare with the Andes and parts of the Himalayas.

That's because more often than not hiking in the Colorado Rockies is boring.

And that is a 100 percent false claim! FAR FAR to many choices in the Colorado Rockies to claim they are boring! There is NOTHING in the lower 48 that is even in the same league as the area around Telluride! Nothing!
