Hello Everybody!
I am trying to decide between moving to Portland, OR or Madison WI. I currently live in northern CA and am going to move away for school. I used to live in Eugene and I remember really liking it there, but Portland is quite different and I am curious if anyone had advice on either of these cities???
Thank you!

I love Madison, but Portland's mild year-round weather would probably be easier to take.

Portland's not that different from Eugene ... just bigger.

I'd go with Portland if you'd prefer something more familiar and closer to home. If not, then Madison is also a great choice.

I prefer Madison because of the weather (I hate rain, would take snow any day) and the Midwest culture is aces, but that is me. Portland is nice to visit when I can take cabs everywhere. Also, all the strip clubs in Portland were a surprise and a bummer.
