I can tell you because I'm hungry for lunch that Boston is better for seafood and Chicago is better for a little fast-food delicacy known as the "Italian Beef Sandwich".
Currently Boston is better for sports, but that could always change (and now that the Red Sox have one twice, their fans can get over that angst anytime now).

Acutally thinking of moving to either one after high school. I just want a fresh start after being in the same place for so long.
I have lived in Boston my whole life but Chicago, along with San Fran round out my favorite cities I've been to. I voted Boston, but it does depend what you're looking for.
While Chicago has a better downtown, Boston has much more interesting homes and styles of lights, etc.
I found more to do in Chicago in terms of sightseeing, restaurants, theatre, and cultural venues, because it's of course a much bigger city, but Boston's an A city in my book as well.

If Chicago didn't have such TERRIBLE weather, there would probably be 30 million people living there. It is an amazing city
