My top 4 are Denver, Portland, Seattle, or to return to san diego area. If you know anything a bout these places, let's discuss the pros and cons

Funny, I know a lot about Portland, Seattle, been to Denver and San Diego....and oddly enough, I know a lot about Suffolk, VA.

You should go for more diversity and move some place where you don't have the same political beliefs as everyone else. I sure enjoy it.

That's pretty much all of California. Can't speak for other states but we have diversity here, though people like to think otherwise.

I was speaking towards political diversity. Not much here in the Bay Area, like I said, it keeps it interesting.

Due to the lack of nearby bases, the Portland area may have the least military influence of any of the top 50 metros.

That may be a bit of a culture shock for you.
