L.A. has the best night clubs this side of Miami and Vegas, a great live music scene, and a good bar scene. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
Fair enough. I want to clarify that I'm not saying LAs nightlife is anything short of amazing, I just think it may not be top 5.
Right, because people can never leave the club and go have fun or drink elsewhere. I can't speak for anyone else, but where I'm from, no one stops having fun at 2AM unless they want to.
Agreed, which is why I believe Dallas, SLC, Houston, Austin, Buffalo, San Antonio and Columbus should not be on that list. The only votes they'll garner are from people who are from those areas. I've lived in Dallas and Austin and the nightlife for both those cities pales when compared to Chicago, NY, Vegas, etc. No competition whatsoever.
The point in listing 40 cities was to see the overall picture.
Austin, Atlanta and some other lesser cities have garnered decent votes. Austin probably because of its live music.

Correct.... but if all the bars and clubs are closed, your options are suddenly not all that different in LA than they are in say, Elephant Butte, New Mexico. You're going to a house party. That's why cities that have later last calls I think have the distinct advantage.
the strip club scene is severely lacking in Chicago that is why it gets low marks
Hey if thats your thing..
Id rather go after classier broads, but thats just me.
