-Culture -- Mpls
-Weather -- SD
-Scenery -- SD
-Skyline -- Mpls
-Economy -- Mpls
-Education -- Mpls
-Vibrancy -- ?? Unsure.
-Attractions -- SD

I love both cities, but I couldn't afford to live the life I'd like to live in San Diego (near the beach, maybe on Coronado).

As far as big city ammenities, cultural attractions, economy, and higher ed I would probably give the edge to Minneapolis. However, SD is no slouch and has a great port, biotech firms, and the great weather. Overall, I take SD because of the chargers. What school did Phillip Rivers go to again...

I think most will choose San Diego because of weather, but Minneapolis stacks up very well and surpasses it in many ways.

-Culture -- Minneapolis
-Weather -- San Diego
-Scenery -- San Diego
-Skyline -- Minneapolis
-Economy -- Minneapolis
-Education -- Minneapolis
-Vibrancy -- Both are pretty vibrant
-Attractions -- Both have plenty of attractions

I'm amazed at how many people I know or have met who have lived in San Diego. They left due to the cost of living or the economy.

Two great cities. It was a tough decision, but I chose Minneapolis because it has a four-season climate.

-Culture - Mpls.
-Weather - Mpls.
-Scenery - SD
-Skyline - SD
-Economy - Mpls.
-Education - Mpls.
-Vibrancy - SD
-Attractions - SD

-Culture Minneapolis (more high culture)
-Weather SD (probably best in the country, Minneapolis has pretty harsh winter standards even by people who like winters)
-Scenery SD (SD naturally is beautiful)
-Skyline Minneapolis (one of most undderated)
-Economy Minneapolis (stronger, more stable)
-Education SD (UCSD > Minnesota)
-Vibrancy Minneapolis (just more compact)
-Attractions SD (more balance of things to do)

The one I don't get at all is the education battle....can this be measured in any way? I just doubt that SD has a better overall education system than Minneapolis, but I am willing to be pleasantly surprised!
