Why are you comparing a thing that was barely put up yesterday to two structures that are the most iconic for their city? If anything, our Westin Hotel is more iconic than this Ferris wheel will ever be.
It's a nice attraction for Atlanta so leave it at that. No need to start comparing it to iconic structures of other cities when it's barely a day old. You don't even live in Atlanta so mind your own business.

I voted the arch. Never heard about Atlanta's ferris wheel. Ferris wheels aren't even that iconic (at this point anyway). They're popping up everywhere.

London Eye is a pretty iconic ferris wheel to be honest...
Do you realize Seattle has a 200 ft ferris wheel on its waterfront? And Seattle also has Sky View Observatory at 1,000 ft much higher . Seattle Space Needle not as old or an National park but has more visitors than than the St Louis Arch. Its more tourist friendly with restrooms , dinning, And a snack bar and bar.
As a Seattle resident, I say the Gateway Arc. The Space needle is cool, and great to bring visit tourists or family, but lacks that Charm that the arc has. Imagine if the Arc was in Seattle and how our skyline would look! Also as Downtown Seattle gets denser and taller, many of the views from the space needle will be blocked. With that said I do think that the Space Needle is more Iconic and more in pop culture.

Lol GEEZ well I feel the love! ..I ve been to Atlanta so many times that it feels like another home town...I ve done it all in Atlanta...I was there about 3 weeks ago and will be there this weekend ...when im there it doesnt feel like im out of town anymore.
...Atlantic Station done it Lenox yaaaaawn done it,...Mall of Georgia Governors Mansión on West Paces Ferry Řd,..Fox Theater ,...Druid Hils ...CNN Tour thats attached to Phillips Arena Georgia Aqurium thats right around the corner from CNN Six Flags in Cobb County Legoland in Phipps Plaza Lake Clara Meera in Piedmont Park...5 Points Marta Station Turner Field thats right down the Street from the Georgia Capitol etc...i know Atlanta like the back of my hand ...heck I know Atlanta more than some of the people living there
I say Iconic because anything in Atlanta is going to be more famous than something in a similar sized or smaller city because of Atlanta's media presence and because Atlanta is always on tv.....TNT sports ..Tyler Perry Movies ..MTV and BET tv shows CNN..The Hip Hop scene Weather Channel...because of that a ferris wheel in Atlanta is going to be more well
known than a ferris wheel in Seattle or Dallas
The London Eye is famous because its in London (which too is always on tv)
This wheel will be famous because its in the ATL
