Charlotte metro is over 2 million?!?

San Jose shouldn't be lumped with the others because it is part of a larger metro area.

Regarding the OP, Portland, Las Vegas- pack more for their size

Come on man! Know your pop. stats Yes Charlotte's metro is over 2million. Though there are a couple that aren't over 2mill on that list, they are however knocking on the door of it.

To be fair to him, Charlotte's metro just hit the 2 million mark when the most recent MSA/CSA revisions were completed.
