What tier is Seattles downtown on? Boston/Philly/SF or Atlanta/Minneapolis? I would like for everyone to evaluate these vacation combos in terms of this criteria for downtown.

I have to agree it is between. But if I HAD to pick one of the options on the poll, I would have to say downtown Seattle is closer to the level of Atlanta/Minneapolis than it is to Boston/Philly/SF.

No, it is cool to say in between. I meant to add a third option with one being "in between the two choices" but I forgot.
It's definitely inbetween, Quickly becoming closer the Boston/Philly/SF. High rises are coming up at record rates and we are not only getting denser in the Downtown but still maintaining height as 8 500+ ft buildings will be up by 2018. Not even the mention the dozens of condos. When sodo becomes available for development it can easily because like the Boston/Philly/SF tier
I doubt it will reach SF's levels anytime soon, but I may be wrong. SF's vibrancy levels in the core is actually surprisingly very high, possibly #2 in the nation after NYC.
Anyways, I agree with the majority. It's in between.

Architecture: Closer to ATL or Minny
Downtown: In between
Culture: in between
Entertainment: ATL/Minny tier
Events: in between
Food: Bos/Philly/SF tier, Seattle is a very well esteemed foodie city
Museums: not Seattle's strongpoint, less than ATL/Minny in my honest opinion
Neighborhoods : In between, Queen Anne, Belltown, and Capital Hill are quite vibrant and walkable and it seems to be expanding into South Lake Union.
Nightlife: not top tier
Parks: weak point for Seattle's downtown, lower tier. Although the sculpture park is pretty cool it doesn't have anything like
Atlanta's Piedmont Park or Boston's Public Gardens/Common.
Safety: top tier
Shopping: In between, though does quite well for its size and well above downtown or midtown Atlanta. Downtown Seattle is packed for the pedestrian that wants street level retail instead of a mall.
Shows: In between
Sports: lower tier, all other cities have the NBA and Minny has NHL and NBA. Seattle needs a new arena.
Uniqueness: Top tier, Seattle really does have one of the better downtowns in the US. There is nowhere else quite like Pike Place or a ferry ride into downtown on Puget Sound and Pioneer Square adds a nice historic element.

Copper river Salmon , Seattle gets the comericial Copper River Salmon before Alaska. Seattle is famous for seafood.
