It'd be nice for Chicago users to also post some pictures they've taken, especially outside of the Loop. There is a lot of great neighborhood architecture in the city, bustling sidewalks, and a whole lot of lakefront and riverfront.
Then you'd be missing out on some of the best neighborhoods and architecture this nation has to offer. Plus, Chicago is hardly "flyover country" seeing that it has the busiest airport in the nation (bounces between first and second place often).
I love these convenient and condescending remarks about "flyover country". I think it says quite a bit more about the person making the comment than the actual place they are referring to. I think this ignorant flyover country meme is overplayed and needs to fade out.

Just reposting to reiterate this because I was going to say something very similar.
Next will come a certain someone saying I'm just jealous that I can't afford to live in LA anymore. I'll repeat that I just didn't love living in LA so I moved out. And I'll add that I'm actually moving to NYC so that disproves that I can't afford LA. Then will come more deflection from the actual issue and lots of ad hominem attacks. It's how this always goes. Nothing new. Just typical LA elitism...one of the many reasons why I left.

No point in living in NYC, if you can't afford to live in the beautiful people places.

It's not that hard. You don't have to be in SoHo or Uptown or anything too fancy like that to find beautiful people anymore.
