Which of these two cities do you think has better natural scenery in your opinion? I know this is entirely subjective as people have different preferences... but I want to get a sense of what people think. I personally favour Honolulu as I really like the tropical volcanic mountains over the mountains here..
I personally prefer Vancouver's scenery as I'm more into snowy mountains and evergreens over palm trees and volcanoes. I grew up in Oregon so I'm more in favour of that kind of scenery, tropical places don't interest me as much.
Wow. Both are winners. Have been to both several times and LOVE them both in their own unique way......the view from Grouse Mountain, Stanley Park, the market, Yaletown, etc all make Vancouver great. Watching the sunset from Duke's, shopping at Ala Moana, Waimanalo Beach, the North Shore, munching on manapua and malasadas, etc all make Honolulu great. They both win this poll, IMO.
Honolulu by far for me. I strongly prefer tropical scenery/plant life over what Vancouver offers, just seems brighter and more vibrant or something to me.
Since I live in the Pacific Northwest already, Vancouver is just a more spectacular version of other Northwest cities in many ways... Honolulu on the other hand stands out for just being this modern US city on a tropical paradise in the middle of the Pacific. So I'll take Honolulu just because it will always feel more exotic to me...
I hated Vancouver when I went there, I don't get all the hype about it. Yeah it is a great city for walking, but I found it to be quite boring. Honolulu on the other hand has the beaches, the mountains, a huge culture, tons of historical sites to see. So for me I chose Honolulu not only because I like beaches more than rocky coastlines, but because I liked the city more in general
Tie. In terms of scenery, these two are by far the most spectacular cities in the US and Canada.
