Both this cities are scene as the second city to there Regions (Seattle and San Francisco). Bellevue is a quickly growing technology Hub while Oakland is more Industrial. Which City do you prefer?

-Downtown
-Economy
-Cost of Living
-Recreation
-Arts/Culture
-Food Scene
-Nightlife

Are you kidding me? I'd probably compare Bellevue more to San Jose than Oakland.
Oakland is probably more comparable to Tacoma.

lol what? I don't think many people will say that Oakland is a nicer place than Bellevue, but that alone doesn't turn Bellevue into even half the city that Oakland is...

Bellevue is home to a lot of high tech money, much like Silicon Valley, and thus I'd compare it more to San Jose despite SJO being much larger.

Yea I wasn't responding to you, your post wasn't up yet when I started typing.

Oakland is an actual city, Bellevue is still just a boomburb imo. That could change soon though.

This is amusing to me though because I am actually in Bellevue right now visiting my sister

Economy: I want to say they are tied.

Cost of Living: Bellevue

Recreation: Tied

I would take Oakland any day. Less suburban, much older, many more cultural amenities, much more interesting architecturally.
