really, unless you hang out in Oceanside (near Camp Pendleton), you would never really know San Diego as a military town. There just isn't a military vibe here like there is in the area around Hampton Roads.

I haven't been to San Diego so I wouldn't know. I've heard San Diego is preferable. How is the public transportation in San Diego? Hampton Roads is really behind the times. If The Tide went everywhere it would be a lot better.

If the cites in Hampton Roads were more progressive the untapped potential of the area could be realized. Big City with a small town mentality.

meh, Hampton Roads isn't bad but San Diego produces one of the best quality of life in the country (as I have been told from everyone that has lived there).
