That's for sure. And with an average January maximum temp of only 31 degrees and an average minimum of 19 degrees, Buffalo can have the "more weather variation!"

I'll take my 19 degrees over LA's 113 degrees

Good points in favor of Buffalo

Friendlier, yes.
Less crowded, for sure.
Afford to buy a house, yes that's a big one

Buffalo's unemployment rate for 2013 is 7.4, down from 8.5 in 2012. Los Angeles' unemployment for 2013 is 8.5.

Clearly we can see that these statistics demonstrate with uncontestable proof the superior economy of Buffalo. Call your Buffalo real estate agent now.

Woof I am glad it never actually gets that hot in LA proper (maybe every once and a while in Woodland Hills). With all that concrete it would probably feel more like 120 degrees.

The average July and August maximum temp in Los Angeles is a comfortable 84 degrees. Temperatures over 100 are rare and when they occur, the humidity is low.

The record minimum temperature at Buffalo is a frigid -21 degrees (record low for LA: 28 degrees above zero). So if you want to compare extreme temps, I'll take 113 degrees over Buffalo's -21 degrees any day!

The 113°F was recorded in Downtown LA:

Weather History for Los Angeles Downtown, CA | Weather Underground

California is one of the few places that gets its heat waves in September.

Exactly. At this rate our unemployment rate should be in the NEGATIVES in ~1 year.
