Buffalo VS LA

Comparing two internationally acclaimed cities is often extremely difficult. Fortunately, this comparison makes it rather simple to do so. Lets take a look at several key indicators of a city's success.

Economy:
While Los Angeles seems to have a better economy, most people are sadly mistaken. Buffalo NY is gaining thousands of jobs every year. Officials estimate that the population of this metropolis will surpass 3 million by 2025. By 2040, Buffalo's population will pass New York city in terms of population.

Los Angeles has a credible entertainment industry, but this will soon decline. Tons of films, (such as Bruce Almighty) are being filmed in the WNY area. It is expected that Buffalo will become a rival in entertainment by 2022.

Don't be fooled. Buffalo has major businesses too! While LA has Occidental Petroleum, Reliance Steel & Aluminum, and a variety of entertainment companies, Buffalo simply has more to offer. Buffalo and it's suburbs of Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany have a ton of fortune 500 companies! Not to mention large banks such as First Niagara, and M&T. With new companies coming to this area every year, Buffalo's job base is expected to be much larger.

Winner: Buffalo!

Culture
Sure, LA has culture. If you count Compton as being culturally rich, then be my guest! Buffalo's wide variety of demographics make it a melting pot for different ethnic groups. Visit North Buffalo, the West Side, and the East side! You will find culturally rich neighborhoods.

Buffalo's wide variety of museums, festivals, and music programs just put LA to shame. Letsbehonest.

Winner: Buffalo!

Sports:

I'll be honest, losing 4 super bowls in a row is pathetic.

Winner: Los Angeles

Environment:

Sure, Buffalo may have its fair share of environmental concerns, but I'd take them any day over LA's smog-filled skies! In Buffalo, you don't have to wear a gas mask everywhere!

Winner: Buffalo!

Things to do

LA has a ton to do, I'll admit! Whether it is visiting Hollywood or strolling along the beaches, everyone can find something to do. Buffalo is better though. Niagara Falls, Letchworth state park, and the wide variety of beaches to visit on the great lakes make it spectacular!

Winner: Buffalo!

Total Score:

Buffalo: 4
LA: 1

In conclusion: I feel that Buffalo is a much better place to be. With a promising economy, awesome culture, healthy environment, and tons of attractions, what could possibly be better?

What do you think? I want your opinions on the subject!

By 2040 Buffalo will surpass New York? Hehe. Now, I know this post isn't meant to be taken seriously but at current trends Buffalo might not even exist in 2040!

You are wrong my friend. Buffalo's change in population growth increased 8 fold. From -1% per year to -0.1% per year means that in 10 years, Buffalo should be growing by 10737418.24% annually. Of course that is a bit optimistic, so I lowered the projection.

Wait what is the other "internationally acclaimed" city being compared to LA? So confused.
