The urban core of Seattle noticeably larger in both look and feel.
Great stats to back up several arguments that have been made in this thread.

Are people forgetting that either way, Seattle is at least 1 million people larger?
Seattle: MSA-3.6million CSA-4.3million
Denver: MSA-2.6million CSA-3.1million

There's no surprise that the stats for Seattle are higher. Seattle's metro is even larger than Denver's CSA! In the end, Denver and Seattle are STILL in the same tier (Even though Seattle is obviously higher up). I don't know why people feel the need to put Denver down to make Seattle look better. Especially since that's not what the OP asked for.

An interesting NY Times article about Seattle's downtown "revival" (read: gentrification) via Amazon.

^I recently had to search for apartments in the Seattle area. All apartments were at capacity or near and any available unit was rented out within a day. Studios/1 bedrooms were, at the lowest price, $800-900 for a very small unit with no amenities. Basic units with a washer/dryer will run you around $1100/1200. All the property managers told me that the rental market is insane and that demand for properties is dramatically high.

The influx of Amazon workers are renting out the market so quickly.

Agreed. Personally, I can't stand Dave Matthews Band. But they continue to regularly sell out major venues across the land.

What????? Denver has always batted above its level! It is in almost every top ten (Where people want to live, QOL, Health, Fitness, etc.). And as far as music, I am pretty sure there are more big name groups out of Denver right now over seattle! Of course seattle was bigger music wise in the past for sure though! The Fray, 3oh!3, 5 fingered death punch, Lumineers, Churchill, Devotchka, Earth, Wind and Fire, One Republic, Flobots, Meese, Air Dubai and plenty more!

One Republic is not from Denver. They are from Colorado Springs, which is an entirely different city/metro area away from Denver.

And Earth Wind and Fire formed in Chicago and are now out of Los Angeles, the Lumineers () formed in New Jersey, and Five Finger Death Punch formed out of Los Angeles and are now based in Las Vegas.
