Well, if we're going international, then we must include Moscow and Ibiza. Those two places are crazy fun when it comes to nightlife. London and Paris are also great.

Stateside; (1) NYC (2) Miami (3) Las Vegas (4) Los Angeles

A lot depends on your taste. Many people seem to equate good nightlife with "trendy" danceclubs full of douchebags and frat boys. Personally I find places like that horrible. My tastes are a bit more countercultural, there is nothing interesting to me about Miami or Vegas.

Not all of Miami's clubs are filled with douchebags. There are laid-back areas of South Florid OUTSIDE of Miami Beach, where it's just beer, live music, and rock bands and stuff like that. People watch too much "Reality" TV.

I like the vibe in the Keys, Islamorada

But I was just at a conferance this spring at the Fountainbleu, great property but wow, the club there, I think they hooked an IV up to my wallet and it wasn't enough for the ladies, someone else go have at that...

Yeah, Key West is a PRIME example, so is Fort Lauderdale. But the Fountainbleau is DEF for the wealthier Douches. Miami Beach in general though, isn't JUST for the rich. There are rowdy clubs that are for anyone that dresses as if they are wealthy but really aren't.

Guess all those wealtheri "douches" make club liv the 2nd most popular club in the US. Its not all wealthy "douches". And its not like all wealthy people are "douches". I was there a few nights ago. Its a nice club, I would not go there every weekend or even every month. But a few times a year its fun.

The people that usually call nice clubs like the ones on South Beach "full of douches" are usually the ones that can't get in.

True. I still think people need to stop looking at Miami through the eyes of reality TV.
