The regular blathering by the NYC idolizers. *boring* and ohh so typical.

How about around 3am, u guys all congregate at Times Square and just walk up and down the street so the place seems livlier?

I'm no New Yorker, but I don't think Times Square needs any more crowds. It's more than plenty, given that it's pedestrian gridlock much of the day, so much so that they turned it all pedestrian in large parts.

The Strip, however, doesn't even have sidewalks for some of its length, so I guess all these claimed pedestrians are in the highway median?

That's what at least half of your four miles look like.

I am not taking sides in this idiotic pissing match (and I am no big fan of Times Square) but why do people have to lie through their teeth to make a point?

Funny thing is this is the same guy who once dismissed South Beach as "few blocks of fun"... but is now boosting Vegas Strip as this four mile giant that slays all comers.

I wouldn't call Vegas Strip "suburban" -- at least not the stretch from MGM Grand to Wynn -- but this is not far off the mark (as the google links above illustrate).
Dont worry for that those lots will be gone. MGM plans to build an 80K capacity outdoor venue there for rock in rio (worlds largest music festival), and that other lot will become the silver state arena. and the last is set to become an amusement park of some sort.

And it's amazing that when you look at Google Streetview, there are basically no pedestrians on the Strip, while the same Streetview shows gigantic crowds everywhere around Times Square.

I guess there must be some vast conspiracy to hide the crowds on the Strip? Or is it that people on this thread are full of garbage, and that strip malls, tattoo parlors, pawn shops, and casino superblocks don't exactly attract pedestrians?
You've clearly never have been to Vegas if you think they're are few pedestrians on the Strip.

Here's a a page that has a link to a pedestrian count study, one that was done due to "unacceptable pedestrian congestion" on parts of the Strip.

It could be a dirt path and it still is the most vibrant place in America from midnight to sunrise.

So yeah, run along.

You posted two google views at opposite ends of The Strip (one of them laughably south of the Luxur) and you're saying half of it looks like that? Could you cherry-pick a little harder?

Luxur to Treasure Island = 3.6 miles. That stretch is almost completely built out. Not much of a "gotcha", chief. Try again.

Here's the Strip during the day. It doesn't have the day crowds of Times Square, but you are 100% wrong saying it lacks pedestrians.

Google views, pfft. Don't they remove pedestrians from the frames?

Your turn.
The discussion for the last several pages has been about nighttime vibrancy, (and it's not a tangent, it's literally half the thread topic), but if this helps you lick your wounds, knock yourself out.

Nighttime vibrancy or Midnight to Dawn? Not sure if you also agreed with Montclair since that's all he's bringing up.

I thought the video was pretty sick otherwise though. And this was mostly only Midtown.

Of course you did.

You most likely cried as well, seeing as though Oakland could never.
