I'm guessing you've never been to the cities in Asia.
1) Singapore has many indoor malls. The largest of which is not easily accessible by public transit.
If asking a Dallas citizen where urban shopping is they point to a low density neighborhood with a (as in one) Neiman Marcus! Yikes!
