Which Southern City is the most underrated and which is the most overrated in your opinion and why? Out of the underrated cities which do you think will be the next world class or great city in time. Out of the overrated cities which do you think deserves all the praise it gets?

Overrated: Charlotte - just as sprawling as Atlanta without the culture and amenities. Bad traffic. Overpriced.

Underrated: Louisville - awesome architecture, great restaurants and bars, funky vibe, cheap.

Underrated: RTP - Great climate, great schools, nice quiet area and isn't sprawling too much just yet. Get QOL for the location you have.

Overrated: None. Most people rate the Southern metros pretty low to begin with. I think they're all pretty good

Nobody in the midwest considers Louisville part of the midwest. Rightly so. But it's definitely a very underrated place.

Overrated- Dallas; I just don't get it.

Underrated- on City Data, Charlotte isn't given the credit it deserves. It's a bandwagon city a lot of posters love to hate, but are obsessed with.

I almost took the rest of your post seriously until I realized you're from Baltimore.

Charlotte does not deserve much credit. I think they are overrated.
