This makes LA awesome for residents and irritating for tourists.
As an ex-resident, I agree, I Love LA! When we go back we always enjoy ourselves, and we enjoy the best of LA without the hassles of being a resident. Although no longer connected in terms of school, work, community meetings, we still are thrilled about the good things that are happening in LA, like the expanded Expo light rail line to Santa Monica to name just a one .
Sounds like Frontier envy. Cue the Native American flute music.
Negative,
The climate & geography is wonderful of the US Western Cities, but the majority of the populace's character is so overbearing to have this shallow mindset. So they can go one up on you for no apparent reason such as material, social, & wealth status w/o depth in their personalities. Also, how they interact with people not to create an intelligent & logical conversation about life. Yes the US Western Cities tend to be friendly, but they can be flawless on their philosophical thinking. This is why I rate the US Western Cities to be overrated. There is nothing wrong to have material, social, & wealth status, but please have some constructive soul about yourselves.
Agreed. Seattle is over rated especially here. Not to say its not a nice city but the bandwagon for it on here is over hyped for what it actually is.
Seattle is a nice city, but to me it just seems kinda smallish, becomes dead early, and the hustle and bustle is not really there. It has some "cute" areas but that's about it, now on the nature side of the coin is where the Puget Sound really shines imo.
