What city/cities would you say has an underrated food scene? I would put in my vote for Boston, though it mainly gets fame for its seafood it has much more to offer than that, the sub shops are superb, good pizza, and pretty good variety in ethnic and all for a good price.

Maybe Honolulu. I don't know how much most vacationers to Hawaii think about the local food scene, but it's substantial and has a lot of range.

Philadelphia... the restaurants are pretty much 5 stars. Soft Pretzels / Water Ice. Cheesesteaks. Scrapple is underrated and very delicious. Creator of the Root Bear Float. Brewerys/Beer city... (I'm not a beer fan overrall) Philly style Cheesecake. Reading Terminal Market. Strombolis. Peanut Chews. Cheeses sauce aka Cheez Whiz. Taskykakes. Soda traces back to the root to Philly. Herr's.

The reason I listed my own city (No Bias, I just actually know the city) is because even though some things are popular and lives up to it's height (Cheesesteaks, Tastykakes, Philly style cheesecake, soft pretzels and water ice) is because all the other products is VERY underrated for how good they are. Also Soda is underrated because Philadelphia gets no credit for it so the city is underrated in terms of the food scenes.

Extra: Bacon & Beer festivals. Hot dog eating contests. Look up Frank's Orange Soda. "Is It Frank's? Thanks!"

Cleveland has a pretty solid food scene, and like everything else about the city, it's underrated.

Philly is great but not sure why cheez wiz would be underrated. They literally have a metal can of cheese sauce and just put it on the bread. Not exactly innovative.

I was gonna put Cleveland even though I've never been there. Celebrity chef Micheal Simon is a great spokesperson for your city.
