Surprised by Fort Worth - was expecting Portland to be on there instead.

EDIT: Just looked at the details of the list and it says "Dallas-Fort Worth" so are they including Dallas in it too, safe to say? If they're including Dallas in that, then I'm not as surprised

The only city on that list I'm a little surprised about, is Fort Worth.

I would think given today's youth, NYC, San Fran, Chicago, Washington DC and Boston are no-brainers.

Yup if I ever leave NYC I hope I end up in either DC or Chicago or maybe even San Fran.

On the link, it's Dallas-Fort Worth instead of just Fort Worth. That's why people are shocked. In fact, on the website, they basically talked about Dallas lol.

Quote:
Representative College: Southern Methodist University
Best Neighborhood for Millennials: Oak Lawn

Dallas is home to more than 400 parks, 60 lakes and 18 Fortune 500 companies. With an unemployment rate well below the national average at 5.9 percent, the Texas City is one of the best to start a career.

The financial website Credit Donkey recently ranked Dallas second on its list of best cities for young couples, so Dallas might also prove the perfect location to start a family.

What a banal list. This is like listing the South Side, Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, East Liberty and Lawrenceville as the five "up-and-coming" neighborhoods of Pittsburgh, even though they've all been known about for at least 10 years. Give me something different that I haven't heard before.

Number 8 is technically Dallas/Fort Worth, but in the description they only talk about Dallas.

Great taste in cities. I agree, same for me, plus Miami.

I do have some honorable mentions though but consider them secondary options (Sunbelt California, Texas, and Florida).
