I'm from Houston and live in Dallas/Fort Worth,

Both are good metros areas in terms of livability (sports, food, schools, crime, shopping, transit). However, the variety of experience I find greater in D/FW. Suburbs in D/FW play a more impactful role to the quality of life than in Houston and having Fort Worth, a city of over 750,000, next door is another dynamic.

Shopping is much better. Lots of lakes nearby, some hilly neighborhoods lend to the appeal of D/FW

What?

New York City. Greatest city in the U.S. and the only city able to compete with it are london and Paris.
