Seattle is up there as well and actually has more breweries than any other metro area.
I don't see it. San Diego has over 100, I know that Seattle is right up there but I don't see any source that states it has more breweries than San Diego. I am welcome to be proved wrong.

The Puget Sound Region has over 140 breweries - Seattle proper has over 60 within city limits. Washington Beer | Breweries
Just to clarify, per the link the Seattle metro area includes all of "Seattle & King County" and "South Sound". "North Sound" covers a larger area but if you look at the list the vast majority of those breweries are in Snohomish County which is part of the Seattle metro. If you add them all up (and I'm not even including Kitsap County, which is a 30 minute ferry ride from Seattle and often considered part of the urban area) that's over 140 breweries in the Seattle MSA.
Tennessee is home to like 3 of the 10 best rated microbreweries in the world on Beer Advocate -- the city-data of the beer world.
What are the 3? Not disputing you, but TN is not exactly known for their excellent craft beer- even within the region. Their neighbor to the east (NC) has a much bigger and more advanced microbrew scene....
I voted Mountain because of New Belgium; Ranger is my Bud-Light.
But my single favorite beer is Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, which is in Delaware. Goose Island in Chicago and Schlafly in STL have some solid beers as well.

I can't find a complete list, but have counted 60+ on incomplete lists in the Twin Cities alone.
