San Francisco and DC are nothing alike. DC is full of policy wonks and SF is filled with hipsters and geekish techies. They don't share similar ethnic demographics. SF has a Mexican and Central American immigrant population while DC has the same with visible Caribbean Latinos(Cubans, Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans) on top of that. DC also has a West Indian subculture. These immigrants are no where to be found in SF.

Apart from having high income residencies and wide income gaps, there's no comparison between DC and SF.
