Surprised by how low Boston and the Northeast in general are, despite the diversity and high number of college grads.

If you are surprised at this then I'm afraid you don't know Boston terribly well.

Eyeballing, it looks like interracial marriage is higher where Hispanics are.

Default Boston is almost entirely white

Who would anyone mix with if the whole area is homogenous?

Here it’s black/white.

My wife is Hispanic, I’m white, and both of her sisters married white guys too, as well as one of her cousins and one of her nieces.

One of her uncles married a black man, and their kids (NYC/eastern PA area is where they all live) seem to date whoever.

But, Hispanic is an ethnicity, not a race. If they are counting it a race, then your comment is well taken.

Greater Boson is 67% White... lets talk about Greater Atlanta that is 42% White and is just as non-interracial.

Even Greater NYC at 44% White, is only 18% interracial.

Boston is 52% more white than Greater NYC, however, New York is only 27% more 'interracial'

So it seems to me that NYC and Atlanta are less interracial in their populations.. hmmm

I'm guessing they are, but I could be mistaken.
