Kansas City is a larger more cohesive city. It's better, safer, and has a lower unemployment rate.

Which city has the better Mardi Gras celebration? I believe New Orleans has more floats and more beads thrown per capita, but there's something to be said about Kansas City's modesty and breathing room.

Food: New Orleans
Attractions: New Orleans
Houses: Tie. Kansas City probably has better and diverse options (and at affordable prices), but a lot of homes in NOLA are beautiful and have a distinct architecture that I'm a sucker for.
Education: Kansas City
Sports: Tie

That's kinda like asking "should I get the little red sports car or the F150". New Orleans and Kansas City (and I have spent a fair amount of time in each) are NOTHING alike!!!

PS: I vote for KC :-)

New Orleans has the better Mardi Gras celebration. It's very well known, both nationally and internationally.
