Miami by far. Love the tropical climate and the Caribbean vibe, it's a beautiful city with lots of water ways and South Beach can not be topped. Just aavoid the bad parts of the city (which is easy to do) and you'll be fine.
LA was a cool visit but I would never live there. Too much smog and I don't like the beaches in California.
Which of the 3 would you rather live in? Which do you think is more urban?
Houston is a much better city and metro area for majority of people in the United States. Miami and especially Los Angeles are way expensive and quite frankly not worth the money. I've never really ever cared for Miami and while I like Los Angeles, I only like it because it's Los Angeles. Who was it that said L.A. is nice from the outside but ugly on the inside? That is probably the most accurate representation I've ever heard. Visit at least once in your life, but living there is not the business.

Speak for yourself. Living in LA is awesome. Couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
LA is the most urban due to having an ok transit system and some established neighborhood. LA transit is still pathetic for a city its size though. Miami's transit is pretty poor too though.
I like LA, go there often but I am not a fan of the West Coast, that is why I would pick Miami. I live in Miami now so that's another good reason. When just looking at the urban area and not the surroundings, weather etc.. Miami is somewhat a smaller LA. LA is great though too. Would not mind living their either.
Houston? Nah that's alright. Never been there so I can't say much but I have friends from Texas and they say Houston is the last Texas city on the list to live in.
