Long Beach's issue is the pollution that stems from the massive ports and the breakwaters(?, I think that's the name of them) that basically help keep large waves within but at the same time means the pollutants have a much longer dwell time.
The funny things are that people are very often asked to not swim at the beaches of Long Beach due to pollution and Staten Island is technically slightly less dense.
im pretty sure we (La Area residents) all know where and what Long Beach, that is complete BS.
Please. Knowing "where" and "what" do equate to a sufficient understanding of a place. That's my exact point. I've hosted/tour-guided so many friends from other parts of the metro around LBC and to a person, they invariably express surprise at how much there is to do and see.
