LOVE those movies too! And maybe while not totally "family friendly" Trading Places, set in Philly, is one of my favorite Christmas movies.

You're just salty that Philadelphia is in a superb location, and there is a crap ton to do. Outside of Chicago it's flat and downright boring.
You sound like a child. Honestly, Philadelphia isn't even on my radar. If I want to visit other areas for fun I go to New York, Vegas, LA, Miami or the Bay Area. No one that I know or meet ever mentions the place. Again, the best thing about Philly is that it's close to New York.

Does it even matter?(On a side note.. If you flipped the script and looked to a larger measurement such as the Urban Area Agglomerations its startling how many more cities there are in this part of the country and also a testament to how influential Chicago is for its own region. edit: I am not sure what exactly these measures are even attempting to measure.
A first grader would know that there are many large cities situated on the east coast. The US method of calculating urban areas isn't 'a larger measurement', it's just not a world standard. And Chicago is more influential than Philadelphia not just in its' region but to the country and world at large. Anyway, I'll let you childish boosters carry on even though this topic has been done to death with the same results every time.

It's obvious that some posters can't stomach the idea that the Delaware Valley can be just as good if not better than Chicagoland.

Exactly. Which I don't understand. I've said dozens of times in every thread that Chicago is a better city than Philadelphia by far. It's when they get to the metro level that they are much more equal, if not Delaware Valley better than Chicagoland.

I don't know the ages of some of these posters?? But REALLY KIDDIES.
--Stop throwing sand in the box
--No pulling hair, pinching ,punching or kicking.

Here I thought there were some REAL INTELLECTUALS and Scholars POSTING??
I sure was wrong

Really a "stick your head in doo doo Video??

I may as well be playful with smiles act the age here??

To think it was over me posting Chicago Beaches and some Philly siders want to present the Whole Jersey Shoreline to lesson CHICAGO'S city bounded beaches even downtown.
When I checked into the Philly map of the Delaware Valley. It gives a larger portion in Pa and a part that shoots into NJ toward Atlantic City. Perhaps they can claim Atlantic City?? But it does not then include the rest of the Jersey Shore???

So please guys... it is primarily the Delaware River you should use aspects of in comparisons. There are attractions to boost. Some brand new like the River Boardwalk? Also counties around Philly its suburbs are in. To claim the Whole Jersey Shore is merely aspects of the extended reach of influence. But still technically outside the Delaware Valley?
