If you were moving to one of these 3 cities, by yourself, with just your car and a couple of thousand dollars, which would you choose? Which has the highest chance of having a good quality of life? What do you like/dislike about these cities?

Default Galveston, for sure!

Out of that list there really is no competition. You have Galveston which is in the most thriving metropolis in the US. then Gulfport, Ms? and Melbourne?? Melbourne is in a depression. They still have not recovered from the recession. I would stay away from Melbourne. Gulfport would get boring after a month or 2 plus it's in Mississippi which is beautiful but plagued with problems. No, the choice is obvious here go to Galveston.

Galveston, since it's in TEXAS and is an unusual/unique town.

I admit to not knowing much about the other three options, however.
