Great photo! Seeing the sunrise over the lake reflecting on the glass canyons was so awesome looking. Chicago got my vote, too.

Which Western cities make sense within the OP? This is for "sunrise cities," and Western coastal cities are on the eastern side of the Pacific. Start your own "sunset cities" poll, it would be just as ridiculous as this one.

Nothing quite like a South Florida sunrise on a warm winter day!

How about Lubec, Maine, where the sun rises first?

Since when is having a large shoreline to the east the ONLY pre-requisite to having a nice sunrise?

Out west, the landscapes are varied and colorful. The morning light brings out remarkable hues. In Denver the sun rises over the plains and shines golden, high altitude sunlight on the rocky slopes of the Front Range of the Rockies. It's freakin gorgeous!

In Seattle, the run rises over the Cascade Range and reflects the pink sky on the glaciers of Mt. Rainier, an awe inspiring sight!
