In my birth state of Arkansas the following county names seem unique, as county names, to the state.

Craighead
Desha - There doesn't even seem to be many places outside India named Desha.

Hot Spring
Izard - I don't find any other place named Izard anywhere, named for an Arkansas governor.
Little River
Lonoke - I'm not sure I find anything else called "Lonoke" with that spelling.
Poinsett
Searcy - Named for an Arkansas judge.
St. Francis
Sebastian
Sharp
Woodruff
Yell
Also there is a Parish in Louisiana called "Ouachita", but apparently Arkansas is the only one with a Ouachita County.
