You just made Seattle look even better with that picture lol

That's from a live webcam. It was snapped today and it's updating even while it's posted here. Yesterday's snapshot was dreary.

The weather will be decent in Seattle today (albeit cold and useless) but after today gloom is in the forecast for the next 5 days in a row. Seattle only averages less than 1 sunny day a week all winter.

I was using it as an example that you don't need to live in the exurbs to snowmobile after work. The exurbs are ideal though but I've still ridden streets plenty of times.

You probably want to look at "cloudy" days, just because it isn't a "clear day" doesn't mean the sun wasn't out. In that case Seattle isn't quite as bad but still very cloudy overall.

And today is completely sunny, not a single cloud in the sky and it will reach 47. Last week had 4 days like that. Seattle's forecast are a joke a lot of times.

True but way too gloomy and boring for me no matter how we cut it. I love to be outside year round and I can't think of much to do in a 45 degree damp rag.

You just described Seattle weather. Everyone is outside 350 days a year. I can't imagine being outside in Chicago or Minneapolis in December, January, February, March.

I heard Seattle's drier/warmer than normal winter so far is due to El Nino.
