As a Canadian I voted for Pittsburgh. (Mostly because I know someone there), but I will admit
that makes me a bit biased, Nashville does seem like a nice City though & very similar to my Canadian
City of Calgary (In the Country Music scene department). Infact Calgary is often nicknamed "Nashville North".
But yes Nashville seems like a Nice City in the US South & I always did like it/ prefer it to Atlanta
I would love to visit it sometime in my immediate future however (If given the chance to).

This is a really bizarre metric to me. A 24 hour drive, regardless if it's within the time frame of one day or longer, has to be appealing to very few people.

It's mostly appealing to corporations who want a more central location.

Yea, me, too. At that point, it makes a lot more sense to just fly instead since that time difference means you'd definitely have to (or should) pull over to sleep. I think a six to eight hour drive is about as far as it goes unless the point was a road trip to see multiple destinations.

At that point, why wouldn't you fly? What crazy company would send reps to Miami or NYC and tell them to drive there unless it's ground shipping?

Corporations fly their employees on business.

Plus it sure doesn't seem to affect the population and number of corporate headquarters located on the coasts.

You're exactly right. Companies also look for a large airport with international flights, a great economy, and decent mass transit. It is interesting how some cities have the infrastructure, but continue to lose companies to cities with better economies, and opportunities.
