I thought this would be a beast ass comparison. Both are culture rich playgrounds for people who wanna have some fun. Let's compare these exciting cities. That's right . Oaktown vs NOLA

I looooovve both cities so much. But I'm outta L.A. so I gotta go with my lil buddy Oaktown. Its not just that I'm biased . I have reasons why I like Oakland better. But I want to know what the C.D. community thinks of these cities .
Let's Go:')

Oakland Pop* 406k : NewO Pop* 378k

Culture(you prefer Some west coast culture or Nola culture?):
Nightlife:
Scenery:
Amentities/Attractions(Name some):
Downtown:
Uptown:
Location(in your opinion):

And Whatever else you want to add in. Both are fun culture filled beasts who have A LOT to brag about. Which one do you prefer? If this stays friendly Oakland and New Orleans will be friendship cities xD Prolly. Some of these are undeniable facts and others are opinionated. But let me see what you think of these cultured music cities.

Historically, Oakland was probably the most favorable destination for Black New Orleanians of cities not named Houston and L.A. Oakland's first Black Mayor was from New Orleans and legendary drummer Joseph " Zigaboo " Modeliste of The Meters has been living in Oakland for over 20 years.

Oakland, all the way. Arguably one of the most naturally beautiful cities in the country.

Close call between the two, but New Orleans has its own identity and is the primate city of its state. Oakland, for all its hipness and isolated wealth, remains a SF edge city.

New Orleans. I wasn't impressed at all with the Bay Area. New Orleans, however, is one of the few cities in the US I can see myself living in happily. I certainly loved it last year.
