Yup, on the general forums he's all about boosting Vegas, and on the Milwaukee forums (supposedly he lived here at one point) he relentlessly bashes the city every time someone comes by because they're planning on living here. A complete waste wherever he be.

Not a big fan of either of these cities, but I rate Vegas as the least attractive (to me) of all the country's major metros. So Dallas by default, though I'd prefer living in Ft Worth, which is a quaint and underrated city in my book. Lots of local character, great cheap ethnic foods, and maybe the best museum city in the South. Vegas certainly wins for "all night drinkin' and gamblin'" (zzzzz) and legal prostitution (zzzzz). It also has better nature surrounding it and outsized dining options, to be fair.

I just scrolled through this thread and the Vegas boosting here is just downright pathetic and embarrassing.
If it wasn't for The Strip, Las Vegas would just be another suburb in the middle of the desert... or NON-EXISTENT.

Ignorance is a bliss.

Las Vegas. I love the city outside of the Strip. Never really liked Dallas.

The strip is the entity that drives Las Vegas.

So why in the world would you think of Las Vegas without the strip?

This mad desire to knock Las Vegas because it is successful is pathetic and embarrassing.

This "mad desire to knock Las Vegas" is brought on by Vegas boosters who doing the exact same thing you're saying to other cities.

(Seriously, comparing Dallas to Indianapolis and ignorantly saying that Fort Worth is "the same" invites criticism on your end)

Other cities that are considered "World Class" tend to have more than just one thing driving that respective city. The Strip ALL Vegas has, and to be honest, if casinos/hotels is what you think makes your city more World Class than Dallas or any other, then Vegas must not have much to offer in the long run...

you are unaware that Dallas is in the Dallas Fort Worth. Arlington MSA?

That which is commonly described as the Dallas Metroplex is generally thought to include Fort Worth?

That Las Vegas is also a metroplex?

That in fact the Strip is not in the city of Las Vegas but is in the Las Vegas Metroplex?

Do you understand what is being compared?
