We know nothing about the OP, or the reason behind the inquiry, yet you've already got him/her labeled a white supremest and a bigot. We don't even know if he/she is white.

Don't be so quick to judge.

It's not a double standard. It's a reflection of who has historically been responsible for discrimination in the country. Read a history book some time about what happened to the original inhabitants of America, and who it was that enslaved people (and those slaves were for sure not white).

So, if someone is non white, I can certainly understand their desire to live where they would be accepted by others of their own kind. It's awfully hard, given the reality of things, to understand why someone from the "ruling class" (which is rapidly changing, and good) would want to avoid non whites. Well, its easy to understand actually.

Portland, Or is one of those "white" places. When I asked someone about a particular part of town when I first moved to the city, they said "That's where all the ethnics live". Hmmm, the ethnics. I haven't met that particular culture yet.

Oh, I see. It's all right for people to want to live around other people of their own racial/ethnic group. Except for white people, of course. Because white people are bad.

What are you doing, having an argument with yourself?

Don't be thick, Lou. Does a white person in America need to move to another city to experience white culture? No. The purpose of this thread is to help the OP locate a city where there are no minorities around.

The backlash against this thread is truly absurd. Everyone desires to live in areas that specifically suit them. Like it or not, there is a very strong correlation between minority population and crime. This is not racist it is simply a fact. Cities like Boise, ID and Des Moines, IA have very nice downtowns where people are friendly, it is safe to walk around at night, etc. There truly is nothing wrong with wanting to live around people who are more similar to you culturally.

I too live near Sacramento, and there are great things about living in a diverse city. But there are certainly drawbacks as well. As with anything there are positives and negatives, but to be truly fair you must look at both.

The average white person has no experience with what it's like to be a minority and have to live and work in a place where the majority of the people aren't of the same skin color. Spare us the "double standard" nonsense.

How much "white culture" would you get in Detroit, or Newark, or the Bronx, or Camdem, NJ, or Jackson, MS? Or, arguably, Miami? Not a whole lot.
And if that's where this guy wants to live, what business is it of yours? Besides that it gives you personal satisfaction to denounce a white person for "racism," of course?
